Tobby is a family company that has been producing laces since 1936. Their shoelaces are made in Austria from the finest materials sourced within the European Union. Tobby’s strong and durable boot laces and shoelaces come in a variety of types, colours, and sizes.

  • Strong & Durable

Our outdoor shoelaces have a tensile strength of 1600 Newtons, while the round laces can withstand 1450 Newtons of force. That's a lot of force required to break one!

  • Wide Range Available

Tobby laces come in various types (outdoor, athletic, triathlon, and running laces) and sizes (90cm, 105cm, 120cm, 160cm, 180cm, 200cm, and 210cm). There is also a wide range of colours, from plain white and black to pink and purple! Our range includes both flat and round laces.

How long should my shoelace be?

To determine the appropriate shoelace length for your boots, sneakers or shoes, consider the number of eyelet pairs and your preferred lacing style. Here's a quick guide:

Count the eyelet pairs (sets of eyelets on each side). For example, 6 eyelets on each side mean 6 eyelet pairs.

Refer to these estimates for standard criss-cross lacing:

4-5 eyelet pairs: 90 cm

5-6 eyelet pairs: 120 cm

6-7 eyelet pairs: 140 cm

7-8 eyelet pairs: 160 cm

8-9 eyelet pairs: 180 cm

Adjust based on your lacing style and preferences. For instance, straight bar lacing requires less length, while intricate styles need more. If you like longer lace ends for larger bows or double knots, opt for longer laces. Measure your current laces or use a string to mimic the lacing pattern for a more accurate estimate.
